My Letterbox Cakes & Bakes fit through a standard size letterbox, so no one needs to be home for delivery. The boxes are attractively rustic & robust enough to cope with the post, and are waterproofed with a bright green over-wrap. The cakes are individually hand wrapped and fit snugly so they look and taste great on arrival.

Payment
It’s easy on the new superfast checkout with no log-in necessary! However, regular customers will appreciate the convenience of storing their name and address and viewing order history.
Pay by credit/debit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay, Paypal, and cheques (payable to L Milligan, 3 Riverside Close, Kingsnorth, Ashford, Kent, TN23 3EL).
If you are ordering gifts for others using Apple Pay or Google Pay to buy directly from the product pages then you’ll need to set the delivery address in their payment dialog. Because you’re not going to the main checkout page, you can add a gift message by responding to the order confirmation email.

Delivery Timescale
Corona Virus implications: disrupted/delayed post service in some areas. I will allow for extra delivery time re Birthdays etc provided the order is placed within a reasonable timescale.
I post Royal Mail First Class: usually 1 day/occasionally 2 day delivery. Order by 10am Mon-Fri & most likely your bake box will be posted that day – there’s more detail on each product page. Specified delivery date? I’ll do my best for arrival on or the nearest possible date before. Use the Order Notes box at the checkout for delivery date, messages and any variety swaps. Alternatively email me (Lou) with your info & order number info@sendmecakes.co.uk.
You can order now for a future delivery: just type your desired delivery date into the Order Notes message box at the checkout. Your cake box will arrive either on that day or the nearest possible day before.
You can personalise your gift by typing your message in the Order Notes box at the checkout.
I can post multiple item orders to different addresses. Use your address as the shipping address and email me the different addresses/dates/messages you would like. This is very handy if, for instance, you wish to pre-order for Birthdays etc throughout the year.
Express Delivery
If you need your cakes delivered as soon as possible, you can email me to arrange Royal Mail Next Day Delivery Guaranteed. This is a ‘signed for’ delivery service & does cost an extra £5.50. Someone will need to be home to take delivery, so this is not recommended for surprise gifts.
Storage
My cakes & bakes are hand baked by me and free of preservatives. The sponge cakes last well for 4 days after dispatch if kept cool and wrapped/covered. The bakes (flapjacks, shortbread, brownies etc) will stay fresh for 2wks. Only refrigerate in extremely warm circumstances, and remove half an hour before eating for best flavour.
Everything I sell freezes perfectly in the box for a couple of months to use at your convenience, so nothing has to go to waste.
